Quick Setup Guide
- Login to Modem device using default Ip address 192.168.1.1
- Enter a default username and password located on your manual.
- Homepage will appear as startup page which contain,
o
Advance menu

Reboot menu

Home Button

Wizard Button
o
Quick Setup Button
- Click the Quick setup button
o
Select appropriate Timezone in your respective
region
o
Leave NTP server as-is
o
For connection type, this will depend on
connection type you applied
in your ISP

- For this, i will show you a 3 most used type of WAN connection
- Will start with, DHCP
- VPI/VCI, supplied by ISP
- Enable WLAN and Broadcast SSID if you want to use the modem's WIFI
- SSID, you may choose any SSID or WIFI name to broadcast
- Security Mode, I prefer to used WPA-PSK/WPA2PSK
- Encryption, TKIP/AES
- Pre-shared key, this is the password of your WIFI
- Max Number of station, you may choose how many device will connect to your WIFI - a max of 20
- click apply button
- Next is Static type connection,
o
IP address, usually this is a Public IP given
by your ISP
o
(e.g.) Ip Address: 202.202.202.202
o
(e.g.) Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
o
(e.g.) Default Gateway: 202.202.202.1
o
(e.g.) Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8
o
(e.g.) Primary DNS: 8.8.4.4
o
VPI/VCI, supplied by ISP
o
For wireless, this is the same setup with
previous DHCP
Configuration

Click Apply button
- The last is type Bridge Connection which I call a transparent type of WAN connection
