Accessing the ECN320/330
- Open the Hyperteminal of your Laptop/Desktop, configure it in default Com Port Settings (9600, 8, N, 1, N).
- Connect to ECN using the proprietary cable (included in the box), in Hyperterminal Press Enter (you should see the ECN32x#)
- If cable is not included, connect it using LAN Cable (straight) and insert in any of the 24 ports then configure your Laptop/Desktop to Obtain IP automatically.
- Run the command prompt and check what IP was obtain.
- Open your browser and enter the Obtained Default Gateway in the address bar.
- You should see the Username/Password
On the ecn320# prompt type in the following:
ecn320# config system interface external vlan 246 ip x.x.x.x netmask y.y.y.y.
ecn320# config system interface default-gateway z.z.z.z ecn320# config system pem-management port 26 {optional}
ecn320# config system interface activate
TAC ECN VLAN Configuration
Sample:
TAC-01# show system interface
External VLAN: 246 IP: <ip address> Netmask: <netmask> Priority: 7
Internal VLAN: 247 IP: <ip address> Netmask: <netmask>
Untagged VLAN: 248 IP: <ip address> Netmask: <netmask>
Default Gateway: <ip address>
Note: After issuing the interface activate command, the ECN320 unit will reset. To synchronize the time of the equipment with the time of the NMS type in the ff.
ecn320# config system ntp server-ip <ip address>
ecn320# config save {Saves the configuration done}
You could manually set the time and date on the ECN320 by typing:
ecn320# config system calendar date 8.08.06 time 09:30:00
